Ga. Tech opens -17.5 over Syracuse

If our defense shows up we can keep this game close. GT is a good team that rarely makes mistakes, but they don’t do anything particularly elite.

This could be like when Scott when down there and lost 56-0. This offense is as bad as any in the country.
Kind of what I’m thinking. They just need to score 13-17 points to make it look respectable. I think GT scores 35-45. GT is a solid team, well coached. Hard to imagine Syracuse beat them last year and is now a 20 point underdog. DART!

Would not recommend betting on this game. Unless you are betting on Georgia tech to cover. We are going to get humiliated. We are bridled with the absolute worst offense in college football by a wide margin. But fret not, hoops is going to far exceed recent performance by a landslide and is right around the corner. I personally am done watching the football debacle this season

GT struggled with Col
Duke should have been up 24+
Clemson was a play away
Wake should be won

5-2 but really should be 3-4.

still they are physical and the running QB covers up a ton of bad play.

Spread down to 16.5.

Just listened to first part of Steve Infanti radio show. Matt Park starts off saying he doesn't think RC has it. Earlier interview with HCFB he said he knew the QBs in the room weren't ready that's why he brought Steve in. But coach you told us it was razor close between RC & SA so why should believe you now??? He did say there is a package for Luke to run. Also, that there's another QB who may end up being better than Luke & RC. Didn't say who.

Maybe more to post tonight. I'm in the car driving all day.

P.S. Paulie is hard to listen to.

But we will continue to try to force Rickie to implement a pro passing system--the opposite of covering up bad play. Can't look off DBs? Here, let's call a route with two potential receivers near each other and a safety able to read the QB eyes to get to where both are. Not accurate? Here, pass the ball across the field into triple coverage with no same-sided checkdown (as if anyway). Laser arm with no slower speeds? Here, throw a soft screen pass to our RB with concrete hands while he is moving away from you...

A few times per decade Syracuse football comes out of absolute nowhere to win a game it was a massive underdog in. 2007 Louisville, 2008 ND, 2016 Va Tech, 2017 Clemson, etc.

I'm not saying we win Saturday. I'm just saying much, much crazier things have happened.

The ACC also has a habit of weird games from highly favored teams.

Hard to believe they won't cover considering our offense can't score. Feels like it will take some flukey defensive or special teams scores to even be in it.

Sure. Never say never...
