Ga Tech: What a win this could be..

If it helps, I think we're anywhere from a 7 to 7.5 underdog. But still a tough game.

I believe that the first line was Ga Tech at -9.5.

Whatever it was last week, we remain a decided underdog.

So the notion that we should win fairly easily is misguided.

We can win this game if we play well, stop making the kind of stupid mistakes we made against NCSt and don't get burned on long pass routes by play action - see Clemson third play of game.

Vad Lee is no Boyd.

I agree that it won't be easy - but most on the board were saying this was a L at the beginning of the season. We're better and they look worse. I think it's a pretty even matchup.

Many people have already said their qb is capable of making throws, so we really need to avoid blown coverages, I can see the play action burning us a lot if we don't get it together on D. We already saw last game that there were still blown coverages and if that NC states qb had any ability on his throws, we could have easily lost.

If this team want's to greatly exceed expectations this game is huge. If they lose it's not the end of world though.
Yep, the NC State win opened up some possibilities for how the season can play out.

For the defense, it will be assignment football at its finest. Hope they're up to the challenge.

And hope the offense takes a couple steps forward in the passing game. Relying on 300 yards rushing works better for GTs design than ours.

if the run blitzes work......

Live by it, die by it. Shafer has been burned with his schemes and completely shut down teams with his schemes. So far I feel he's been more successful than not with this mentality. Jam the receivers and close down the running lanes. Watching last week's game I couldn't believe the push we were getting against NCST's D-line. Here's hoping they can run the ball down GT's throat, eat up the clock, and minimize the amount of time we actually have to defend against their offense.
