We had McPherson. His stats show no passes for 1986, 9 for 1987, and then starting in 1988. I really do not remember how or what the deal was for 1984 and 1985.

i wish i had this kind of confidence. I dont think his lacking performance was because of "pressure"I bet Rickie has a better game than anyone expects.
All the pressure is off, he caught his breath not playing last week, hopefully he improved the last 2 weeks, teammates should be relieved to have him back and I think Nixon will give him a tailored game plan.
westry actually had 23 a couple of nights ago, along with some rebounds and steals. Me thinks there was more to him not playing than an injury. He was last seen with the Tooth Fairy, Chance Westry, a smart Rutgers fan, and various other beings that do not actually exist.
84 was Norley/Kmetz/McPherson. 85 was McPherson/Kmetz. 86 was more McPherson/Kmetz. 87 was McPherson/Philcox. I just don't remember Philcox until 1987.We had McPherson.

Yes he did have some strong games to end the season and I enjoyed watching him play.
I was not doubting what he did for the team that year.
My question to the OP was what games would he win with this schedule.
Looking at game results. We had 8 home games that year. Really don't remember that being the case and I was at the opener. Paulus was 130+ for a QB rating. Last two games were 170+. He at least made us reasonably competent and allowed Nassib to develop.I must have missed those. He was playing with a dead arm and had nothing after Mike Williams left (who BTW is better than anything we have now). But still these a rough numbers.
