Game 2 Depth Chart / Game Notes | UConn

First time seeing this chart with size. Our interior D-line is so small. No wonder we got blasted in the run game. We need to get bigger on the interior.
We are markebly bigger than we have been. we need a 1 shade who is a 6 ft 340 lber who can move though. Cant get doubled.

True. I am worried about injuries to Wilson, Cook, Grant, Buxton. All got banged up in game. We will not know until gametime warmups if any of them can play. If they come out in sweats, forget about it.
Depth charts are worthless.

Seven players on the DT two deep are over 295 pounds. 4 over 300.

Last year (after injuries) there was one player on the two deep over 295 pounds. ( Watson listed at 313) (Dino’s recruits mostly)

Five years ago under Dino there was just 1 295 pound player and no 300 lb+ players.

But we still had some OK defensive lines. People should not get too hung up on a few pounds here and there. Speed, explosiveness and heart are far more important. When you get size along with speed, heart and explosiveness, you have SEC defensive players. Guys like Art Jones or Bromley weren’t bigger than our current guys. Just better.

So, is Tremble still the next Gadsden? Wasn't word last year that he was learning under Gadsden and that he had the potential to be better?

He was in the tight end room along with Gadsden. Don’t remember him being projected to be better than Gadsden.
