Game 4 Uniforms | Army

The white out is for the fans in the stands not the players on the field.
I understand. But why not match the colors. Why wear the colors of the opposing team? As JRHEETER says above, someone needs to coordinate on this.

That said - this is not a uniquely SU faux pas. I went to an Arizona game and something similar happened for a basketball game.

Holy heavens. The same people who can't spell Bouie or Boeheim are still in charge. SU is doing or trying to do, a WHITE OUT. Why? Because Coach Ben wore white jerseys at home. Even white pants at one time.

So how does the Ath Dept honor him and participate? They do the OPPOSITE. Really you can't make thus stuff up.

College teams are allowed to wear white at home. Look at LSU.

SU should be wearing OWW in this game. If they don't participate in the white out why bother having it?
Coach Ben’s favorite color was blue.

It really is a bad look. The White Out has been publicized all week. So you wear all blue. The kids are going to be wearing Army's colors.
Army's game uniforms aren't revealed until the game notes are released each week, usually Tuesday.

But of course Army's "traditional" road uniform is gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants, so it would be a good guess that Army would be in white jerseys.

And the most prevalent color for Army fans at the game will be black, so no worry about Syracuse students looking like Army fans.

Would be nice to have a blue lid, to go all one color like they do in the NFL

Wait. I always thought home teams picked uniforms, and then road teams picked accordingly? Is that not the case? Like...if Cuse picked white, army would pick solid color?

NCAA rule: visiting team wears white jerseys unless teams have agreed in writing before the season that the home team will wear white.

Visiting team can wear colored jerseys even if home team is wearing colored jerseys if agreed to in writing before the game and if the home team's conference agrees that visiting team's jersey color is contrasting "enough."

OK. I guess the lesson learned is, in a perfect world, the fan groups and athetic department would coordinate these things pre-season.

Its not the end of the world, just a thought

I am thinking of the blues as Navy. And Navy always beats Army.
