some prefer Michigan state today. Not sure why. With that said this is still a tough game. Need to take care of business. Play great defense and rebound. Make shots. Also out of 351 teams MTSU ranks 349 for free throw %

People who prefer MSU are paranoid -- also because now we want from the complete to underdog ot being favored, the pressure is completely on us.

But people who think that we matchup better with MSU than MTSU are silly...MTSU is a really good team with a lot of legit talent, but MSU is arguably the best team in the country with a Hall of Fame coach.

I think MTSU is pretty good..But to say that they would rather play MSU? that is freaking insanity. better players, better coach, a coach that has scouted and prepped for our zone NUMEROUS times. come on man.

MTSU hopefully won't go 11-19 from 3 and shoot 60% from the field again. I would imagine that they will come back down to earth. Especially considering our zone is efficient (10 in country) at stopping the three this yr.

Need a nice day from Cooney and Roberson. Also would like to see Coleman with a 10 pt 8 rebound game.

when you make shots, you look amazing. You look incredibly skilled. You look like a pro. if you watched that game carefully , you would have seen more than a few shots that MTSU took that had no business going in.

If they were as good as they looked vs MSU, they would have performed better during the regular season

I was watching from my desk at work so unable to really see everything. It seemed like they were just feeling it on the day. It's happened to us a number of times where a team Goes off. I agree that if they were consistent all year they wouldn't be a 15 seed. Also if Roberson grabbed 18 boards consistently we wouldn't be a 10 seed. I'm optimistic on the outcome.

I had a feeling though if we did take on MSU...it would be like the Indiana game a few years back. We would have made it tough. The team this year seems to always play to competition. We have been in all the games bedsides Louisville until the end. Just had trouble closing. Hopefully they figure it out for 5 more games

They were 25-9, so it's not like they were a 14-18 team that won their conference tournament out of nowhere.

But they scored 55pts in their conference title game and they allowed 90 (and score 99) in the semis.

This game comes down to 1 thing - if they can make 3's. We've all heard about Giddy Potts and how good of a 3pt shooting team they are, I suspect that's how they'll try to beat us -- sure, they'll get their paint touches to keep us honest, but they're going to go down swinging. If they go something like 13/26 from 3, we will be in trouble. I'm not worried about rebounding or us offensively.

Looking at their title game vs. ODU:
6/16 from 3 (Giddy Potts was 4/5, Jaqwan Raymond was 2/4 everyone else was 0/7)
37% from the field
69% from the line
13 turonvers
They got outrebounded by 9

Semi-final vs. Marshall when they scored 99pts(who was 17-16 this year):
6/13 from 3 (Potts didn't make any; Raymond and Harris made 2)
59% from the field
76% from the line
13 turnovers
They got outrebounded by 6

They don't get a lot of production of their bench (until that random guy goes off for 30 against us)

It doesn't look like they shoot a lot of volume 3's, but hopefully they settle against us.

Syracuse plays them in November/December, I expect to win by 15.

Play them in March?

I expect to win by 7.

I realize the game likely starts too late or at an inconvenient time (how dare they start a game during Sunday dinner!!) for some of you here, so we will tell you how it plays out tomorrow.
