No Cuse Game this weekend, so whatre you watching?

Friday
BC vs Pitt

Saturday
noon - Army vs. New York State ( ie Buffalo Bulls) - Army is my new team if SU bottoms out this year and doesnt turn the corner
noon - CMU at purdue (mehh game, but your best look at CMU)
noon:30 south carolina state at clemson (probably not worth your time)
3:30 Maryland at S Florida (good chance to see what maryland has to offer, but will be tough to watch this whole game)
7 Murray St at L'ville ( good for you Louisville, in your defense you do have a short week after the Monday night game)
7 Duke at troy (im not sure we would go to a sun belt team, but maybe weve sunk that low)
7 the citadel at FSU (probably not worth your time)
730 Michigan at ND ( usually a good game and the end of a great rivalry, but NBC just makes games seem boring. - compare it to ESPN where the announcers have to yell over the crowd noise and NBC just silences the crowd noise)
8 VT at Ohio State ( a big one for perception if VT can pull it out)

So you already have a backup team in case Syracuse doesn't have a good season? I would never, ever root for another team besides Syracuse... unless of course that team was playing against Rutgers.

Its hard not to like the service academies

As an American, of course it is easy to root for those kids. From a football perspective, I don't care about any other team than Syracuse.

Purdue favored by three at home. I don't think they've had a good team since 2004 when the Cuse made Kyle Orton look like a Heisman trophy winner. I hope CMU wins Saturday just to put some dirt on the Boilermakers.

Yea thats gonna be another tough game to watch

Southern Cal and Stanford have played a couple of really good games these past 3 years. This is judgment week for the Big Ten
Oregon is a favorite against Sparty
Ohio State is a favorite against VPI
Michigan-Notre Dame
The Big Ten needs 2 of 3 or it will be criticized.

I typically root for Syracuse and whoever wins the national title game.

As for this weekend, I'd add East Carolina @ South Carolina to the list of games I'm paying attention to. East Carolina can throw the ball. We all know how that worked against South Carolina in week 1.

Planning on giving my Saturday to my wife and kids completely. Trip to the zoo, whatever.

All in the hopes of watching 10 hours of NFL on Sunday :).

BYU @ Texas Saturday, Taysom Hill's darkhorse Heisman campaign.

Had a daughter go there when Keyshawn was there. I still follow them.

Nice! I was in grad school there in the Carson Palmer/Polamalu days. Man, do you remember the WR R. Jay Soward? Drugs and alcohol eventually got the best of him. Jacksonville took him in the 1st round but what a talent he was at receiver and in the return game. He was fun to watch.

Doctor, I have to say, this is a bizarre post. You list a couple D-list games like SC State @ Clemson, but don't mention the two biggest games of the day: MSU @ Oregon and Stanford @ USC.

You invented a new time of day called Noon:30.

And you talk about abandoning your SU football fandom.

Texas without their starting QB and 60% of their OL. That one could get ugly, especially the crowd.

i dont think CMU getting to 2-0 and then playing us at home with their best crowd is that great of an idea after how we looked last week.

Its a light hearted post that focuses on SUs future opponents (and New York State University, because we know buffalo won't overtake SU).

Use some common sense when reading from now on. Maybe use your context clues if something doesn't make sense? Best of luck when you read in the future.

Don't forget Howard at Rutgers. A nailbiter for sure and yet another reason not to subscribe to the BiG Network

The New York Yankees

Baseball season ends when football season begins.

I think.

Haven't checked.
