Obviously I hope Mike G becomes a superstar, but my realistic hope is that he is a fundamentally sound guy we can rely on at either guard spot. He comes in, gets his minutes, and we can keep momentum going.

I'm not worried about either Trevor or Mike at the top of the zone. Both are scrappy and physical. Trevor showed flashes of that last year and Mike is athletic enough and appears to be very teachable to pick up the defense.

I am worried in general though since we won't be quite as tall on the front line without MCW there. Really, its all about Ennis and his ability to play good solid defense. His offensive abilities are pretty obvious and will be really fun to watch this year...LGO!

Not as tall up front with a 6'3 point (I like him, just saying). MG gives us some nice size in the backcourt if he can stay with his man. TC is actually a serviceable defender. But our inside guys can really shut it down.

I'm not too worried about our defense up top. Will it be as good as last year? Very very doubtful, but we had a 4 year starter who played his asignment as well as almost any we've ever had as well as a 6-6 long armed guy who was one of our best ever defenders out top so its no knock and this years guys. I think Cooney and MikeG have plenty of size and length as well as knowing how the defense works. I have no worries about thise two and expect them to be very good defenders. Ennis may not look super quick or long but he is deceptive in general and I could see him bing the type of player that may not go for many steals but gets almost everyone he goes for because he's watched and waited for his moment. I also think his is smart enough to know where to be, where and when to slide or drop to the FT line and be sure to get out on shooters. He will get big minutes and doubtfully be as good as MCW or Triche but that doesn't mean he won't be a good defender. Our front line defense is going to be pretty rediculous this year IMO.
