Geez, Griffin and Joe took a lot of bad shots

At what point do you have to suggest that 'coaching' is a culprit in consistently poor shot selection?

The thing is... both Joe and Griff can make some of those horribly, ugly, stupid shots. But, don't we have to be working toward maximizing efficiency? Seems, too often, like we're just content to be stupid, because we're too ineffective or lazy to get decent shots. I blame Steph Curry. And Boeheim.
I give Griff more benefit of the doubt. He's new to the team and system, his role has expanded greatly over what he was expected to do last year, and he's filling the role of a really good player who went to the Association. He'll be fine, and the coaches will corral him appropriately. Joe is the more concerning one, because he took some truly horrific shots last year as well. Doesn't appear that's been 'coached' out of him yet whatsoever.

No doubt. So tragic, and certainly gone too soon. :(

I recently saw a movie he was in (I think on Starz) that I had never seen or even had heard of for that matter. It was called, 'Before the Devil Knows You're Dead.' It was somewhat dark, but I found it rather compelling. There was some serious irony in the role he played in the movie correlating to his own personal life and the demons he battled and struggled with for years, ultimately taking his life. There was a solid cast, Ethan Hawke, Albert Finney and Marisa Tomei, who was smoking HOT in it.
Underrated movie directed by the great Sidney Lumet (Dog Day Afternoon, Network, 12 Angry Men). Hoffman was a generational talent gone far too soon. I interviewed him a couple times. He had his demons but he was a generous guy and beloved by fellow actors. Hawke was great in that movie too.

Rutgers is a "meh" team. Really didn't impress me at all.
yeah I agree ...how many rutgers players would you trade for their equivalent syracuse player?

no one on that team wowed me like I wish that player was on my team...they played solid team basketball well coahced and crushed the orange for their NUMEROUS brainfarts every single time.

Both of their bigs. Harper Jr.

Their PG was pretty decent too.
Fast, got his guys wide open shot after wide open shot.

Either one of their Bigs would be such a huge (literally) get for us - we haven’t had that kinda beef in the middle since DC2.0

Joe is frustrated. At this level he cant create for himself. Hopefully he has some hot games but long term he isnt an ACC level pg.

Their Bigs are significantly better.

eh their centers combined for 11 points...no one on that team moves the needle significantly in terms of making a final four, challenging for a title winning the acc etc imo...might be marginally better here or there but not anyone that is like wow!!! I think the cuse should have won the game and if they somehow play again later in the season i expect a comfortable orange victory
