Watching the Loyola game I certainly was intimidated by the new weapons and high goal total from MD, but Loyola was also a deeply flawed team last year, objectively worse than a team like St. Joes, and also lost their main stud on defense Remington Reynolds. They had similar lopsided results against very good but not elite teams like Colgate and Army. Hate to throw a former orange under the bus, but the fact they heavily use Vinnie Trujillo at ssdm, a guy who struggled a good deal here, is telling about their depth at that position.
