Geno Auriemma Health Issues ?

No, serious injury problems. No team in the country could deal what they have this year and still be top 10. As CT resident I see them quite a bit. Very resilient team but that only goes so far. I hope Auriemma is OK, he is a really funny man if you get to hear him speak in public. Everyone knows he is a great recruiter, teacher and coach.

I knew I read something about her recently. Sorry I didn’t have the link above not remembering where I read it. Googled and finally found it. Auriemna isn’t directly quoted but Dailey, the assoc head coach is quoted. Sounds like it’s been overall a difficult adjustment from high school to college for her.

Thanks for the article. I thought some of the same things about Kyra Wood at the start of the season about not being able to handle the physical play and she's looking different the past few games. Hope DeBerry's development continues.

Missing 2 would be All Americans in Paige and Fudd, who both will be among top 2 picks by WNBA when they are draft eligible.

Well UConn has 7 McDonalds All Americans, 2 prolific grad transfer scorers, one from Ohio St and the other from Fairfield, and 4 excellent foreign players on their current roster.

Not many schools can compete with their recruiting prowess and have McDonald’s All Americans sitting the bench . I imagine though that the Big 10 (including their new PAC 12 members) and the SEC all with their big $, will continue to slowly erode UConn’s recruiting success with huge NIL opportunities. No tears needed for UCOnn though, they will continue to attract top players with Auriemma, while much less stacked teams have to deal with impactful injuries to their stars too.
