Everyone knows the most effective use of a power back is to get them out on the edge in space.Sorry still can’t get the toss sweep to Moore in our own end zone out of my head
I’m not implying that you are saying this, but would this at least suggest that as far as coaching goes, the problem at SU has not been the crew…it has been the captain (Head Coach)? It is kind of interesting seeing the football tree compared to the basketball one out there coaching. I know there are a lot more football assistants but still, the football list is quite impressive.
Yes. I also prefer to have my power guy run parallel to the LOS, especially in the endzone. The defense will never see it coming.Everyone knows the most effective use of a power back is to get them out on the edge in space.
Football coaching circle is very tight. Guys give each other jobs and support each other. Plus there are so many assistant jobs that it’s easy to rotate around if you find the right specialty and don’t care about being a coordinator at the highest level. The exception is probably OL coaches. Hardest gig and tends to be the one with most spotlight at the position level.I’m not implying that you are saying this, but would this at least suggest that as far as coaching goes, the problem at SU has not been the crew…it has been the captain (Head Coach)?
So, it is easier for a single coach to find a good fit for themselves as opposed to a head coach to find multiple good fits for their staff? Makes sense given the number of coaches on a typical staff these days. Thanks!Football coaching circle is very tight. Guys give each other jobs and support each other.
