I think the biggest was "Catfish Hunter who was one of the greats IMHO. He proved that not having an elite fastball wasn't a detriment to be a great pitch. His ability to put the ball exactly where he wanted trumped 98mph fastballs even though there weren't radar guns in use during his days. Catfish was another one outhouse older Yankees who died too young like Thurmond, Bobby Murcer. I loved them all. RIP.
