Georgetown was a worse loss than Colgate

6-17 on the season and we are their only power conference win. They are ranked 211 in KenPom which is worse than Cornell. This has to be Ewing’s last season. Pretty sure they are the worst power conference team this season and it isn’t close.

Colgate is at least 13-11 and ranked 134 in KenPom.

Georgetown has not won one single game in Big East. This makes Syracuse the worst team in Big East if we were still in it. Damn Georgetown.

20 years from now we’ll talk about the 2021-22 loss to Colgate and fans will know the one (only one) you’re talking about. Ten years from now the loss to Georgetown, will just be one of the many losses to Georgetown.

Georgetown, Colgate, UVA, Miami, Wake…these were all losses because of JB’s in-game decisions. Pitt was on JB for lack of depth. We’re going to look back on this season and point to these six games, knowing that had we won half of them (or even a third), we would have finished with a winning record.

He played the same 5 the entire half trying to white knuckle it against a horrific team that he seemed to treat like they were the old Georgetown. Symir played great. Bad coaching decision.

It happens though. Players have bad games, referees have bad games….so can coaches.

Just killer losses. Inexcusable. Games you just have to win. Win those 3 and close out the games against Wake on the road and FSU at home, and this team is 18-6 and 10-3 in the ACC and looking like a solid tourney team. Then again, it would have hurt even more when Jesse got injured because we’d have been more optimistic about the post-season.
