Gerry McNamara Interview with Jon Rothstein

Red said he was going to win at all costs too. It's just a bunch of lip service and no one knows if this team is going to be good or not.

Saying he's not building it for the fans on twitter is just insinuating we didn't have the ability to go after program-changing names, because those are the type of kids the fans online wanted.

It's just the author projecting his thoughts that "we should all be happy because Gerry said his goal is to have a team that is going to win at all costs."
Did Rothstein ever interview Autry? Honestly can't remember... If he did can someone post the interview so we can compare comments.

Also to be fair I could see a # of coaches that have 20 million dollar rosters making this exact comment about fans on twitter. Just saying the same megarich coaches are saying the same thing as the budget or even "upper middle class" NIL coaches which is where I would put us right now

If Gmac is comfortable with the PG position, then I am comfortable with PG position. I am 144% certain that he would not go into the season without that completely covered. He knows what he is doing. I personally find it comical for those second guessing him. And Moesch continues to be dismissed when he in fact outplayed all the elite PGs he faced last year. Trust the process.
You do realize that the 76ers had several years of suck out loud basketball hoping to rig lotto picks when the "trust the process" mantra became a thing, and they were awful for years before they actually became a winning team, and at that they weren't ever that good, right?

I love that Gerry could not sleep after the Duke loss, then watched the game a few nights later and could not sleep again. That’s the kind of passion that’s been missing from this program for too long.

I think a lot of the lack of effort at certain times from our players was a reflection of Red not being that passionate, and not seeming to hold players accountable for being lazy.

The way GMAC answered the questions in that interview certainly instills confidence. He seems serious as a heart attack about doing it right.
I’m anxious about his anxiety that gives him insomnia.
