All/ most Syracuse scholarship players were the best player on their HS teams and are accustomed to being the star and carrying their teams. My impression is that most feel new to the system and have undefined roles this early in the season and look to the other guy to take charge. As players they now understand that no one has stepped up yet and someone needs to asap. At some point you just say give me the ball and I'll do it myself. Got nothing to lose and and I am gonna go for it good or bad. I think today we see a breakout player and I believe it will be Tyus.

I've been watching SU hoops for long time and can't recall too many, if any, so-called 'break-out' players for us. Now, on the other hand, I've witnessed many of those alleged 'break-out' (previously averaging like 2 ppg type) players torch our zone for a game, only to go back into still 'breaking-in' mode afterwards. :bang:

As relatively predictable, at least this guy's 'break out' game for 34 didn't hurt us in the end.
