"While Reese’s admission that the Giants would draft a quarterback isn’t an indictment on Manning, it may be on Nassib. The Syracuse product was the third-stringer this past season behind Manning and Curtis Painter. Nassib did not dress for a single game, even when the Giants season was long lost.

Painter remained the backup in the final weeks of the season. And when Manning went down in the finale, it was Painter, not Nassib, who received the game experience. Painter is a free agent this offseason."

That's Reese's way of bluffing some other GM that wants a QB into making him an offer he can't refuse on the #12 pick.

Good. Hope the Eagles pick up Ryan. Dream for Ryan and Eagles fans like me. Stranger things have happened...

Ryan never had a chance this year. They never have him meaningful snaps even in pre season.

Indictment is a strong word. How about, unsure about Nassib. He was a 4th round draft pick, so what exactly are the expectations. With Manning getting older, it only makes sense to get a few guys in there to compete for the job, unless they get a can't miss prospect.
