That basically means being an average to slightly below average power conference program that takes care of business against inferior opponents the vast majority of the time, plays better teams tough and pulls off its fair share of upsets, and gets a magical season once every decade or decade and a half.  Something like 60% of teams go to bowls, aspiring to make it more often than not is aspiring to mediocrity. Surely we can at least [I]aspire[/I] to being mediocre?
