Clearly the writer hasn't watched Syracuse play from the beginning of the Marrone period to now. SU has won two bowl games in the last four seasons. They last won a bowl in 2010 against East Carolina.

Most college football fanbases and the media that covers them, have their heads too far up their own asses to know much about anyone else around the country. They know about their team, they know Alabama is really good, they know Johnny Football, maybe they know that a few other teams are supposed to be really good but don't know why(FSU, Oregon), and they might know about Notre Dame. That's about it.
