Hoping Gmac will schedule more old Big East foes in the non-conference.
Nova in Cuse and Philly. Providence in Boston is good. Need UConn or St. John's at MSG and we're in business.
I am hoping we have Home and Away, then Neutral site type series against St. Johns, Villanova, Georgetown and UConn. I guess Providence is acceptable, but not nearly as exciting as those first 4, both by the location and the pedigree of the program.
Playing in NYC, Philly, Washington and Boston every year against old rivals would be very cool. Maybe we could play those 4 teams three out of every four years, and have big non conference turnouts in the annual home game against quality former conference rivals.
Providence gives me a big yawn, actually. Though playing in Boston will be fun.
EDIT: We would play 3 old Big East teams, the SEC challenge, and, most years, one "Invitational" type tournament each year. Anywhere from 4-6 OOC games against P5 basketball teams, plus our normal slate of buy games. Too many big games?
