Shafer would have burned a time out then punted. Nice to have a coach be confident and know what he's going to do in situations before they happen.

All three conversion also led to a score. Tempo was also key to the first 2 4th down conversions. They basically beat the defense to the snap.

3-3 turns 8-18 on 3rd down, a really good conversion rate, into 11-18 and winning football if they can keep it up. Those 3rd and 4th down conversions also have a cumulative demoralizing effect on the defense. We've seen it more from other side over the past 15 years or so.
