I've long said that AD is the best job to have. Screw up repeatedly and there is seemingly no accountability. Make one bad hire after another, it's the coach's fault. Mismanage your finances, it's because we're not keeping up with the Joneses. As long you're not in charge when a sex abuse scandal breaks, you're home free.

Melo killed UM by not going there. So ultimately , SU is responsible for UM leaving the ACC.

That was a great read.

Compare and contrast the bits in there about how Yow embarked on a bunch of facilities renovations, and how that hurt them when their major programs floundered, with our position. Sounds like they spent more than we have, but you have to love what Dr. Gross has done. He started spending money the moment he was hired, immediately putting to rest the issue about Dome turf. Yow alienated donors. Gross has been schmoozing non-stop. Gross has glad-handed the basketball program and blessed Hopkins, for rational and financial reasons. In the meantime, we are spending more on our non-revenue sports and making waves.
