There was no doubt coming in that it was going to be a shootout and Dungey was the difference. Didn't help losing our best defensive player early on, but not sure that would have made a difference.

Lester talked about it in his post game presser, kid is fine and was in the locker room after getting checked out. He was talking and laughing and walking around.

Yeah, our freshmen looked real good. Reed looks like the real deal and Chase Brown, who we beat you guys out for.

Custis looked NFL ready. He's a baller.

Question for the group -- Reed obviously looked great for them, but how about one of our freshman WR's stepping up and being game-ready like that? Is that too much to ask? Is our offense that difficult?

Question for the group -- Reed obviously looked great for them, but how about one of our freshman WR's stepping up and being game-ready like that? Is that too much to ask? Is our offense that difficult?

Reed is a redshirt, but yeah, I didn’t see any of our redshirt or true freshman, did they get time? Guessing Sharod must have.

I think ours will be worked in, as early as this week. We played it safe, wanting to make sure we got the W (well other than that other well covered topic).

Butler’s leash won’t be long with all the young talent behind him. Same with Riley.

I thought I read that he terrorized your DBs when on the scout team last year. Which WR is that?

Custis has some potential. He’s still green/raw. Great game for him last night. He’s a little clunky after the catch and only can run a couple of routes.

Butler should have no leash left after that performance.

Dropped balls happen, but there is absolutely no excuse for not running hard on every play.

Props to McKinley #98 for getting in Devins face after he lolley gagged a route and came over to the sideline. Butler needs to go share the same doghouse as R Pierce.

Thanks for scheduling us!! Was a good game you have a lot of talent. Week 1 we benefitted from having more experience think that was the difference cause both teams were similar. Good luck to you and coach Lester see ya in the Dome for the return game!

Waldo Stadium was a lot of fun. Nice location on campus & really in the city — walked to tailgate and game from Comfort Inn. Great fans, was welcomed to the stadium 5-6 times by strangers. The WMU band was impressive for its size and the show it put on. It was a nice collegiate atmosphere.

Wish the game had started even an hour later to eliminate some of that intense sun exposure on our side but what a beautiful day/night for a game. Thanks to both teams for making it interesting!
