My Take

Thanks for the "short" write up. I agree about McCord vs Ward. It's amazing that McCord gets little NFL love and Ward is projected as the #3 pick in the draft.

I think it is a debate I've been having with a few conversations... Remember the 80's QBs were passers... Now there like tight ends... McCord is one of those passers from the 80's style... but 'may' have a little more, but Ward has the better combo. I have been thinking about it, and if you want SU head coaches, they lean one or the other, but work with what they got... There is a debate on how maybe Fran may go too... but the TightEnd QB era is probably over in my opinion for SU, we need something between that and the 80's all passing. and that is why Ward is probably a love pick for the NFL.. In the past decade most of our QBs were mediacore passers.. So we need some middle way on this for that future too.

It's ironic as I sit on the home side in 335, and it appears you and sutomcat see across the field at the SU teams. I missed all the coach interactions.
No irony here. 301 is on the home side!

I must be totally missing you, it literally a skip and jump!

Another great write up as usual! Just a few things that came to mind while reading your points...

- Seems like when OG gets involved and makes a play early, good things happen. I was very happy when he caught the first throw (or maybe second - I don't recall, I was drinking). When he doesn't make a play early, sometimes he vanishes.

- Pena is soooo good. Just a damn good football player.

- LeQuint Allen is a flat out warrior. Watching his comments in pressers, I think he's half crazy, but that's what makes him a guy that you always want on your team. He makes plays when you desperately need them.

- I am so happy and thankful to have experienced McCord this year. Aside from his amazing talent, he just handles himself like a pro. Unfortunately, it may be a loooong time before we get another QB of his caliber.

- Was it Nixon that Fran went ballistic at after Willis fumbled the ball. It appeared, while watching on tv, that he was upset LA didn't get the ball which he probably attributed to the fumble. He was beyond pissed. What was cool though was a little later in the game, they showed the two coaches hugging each other. Great moment.
It didn't look like the assistant wanted to be hugged. Kind of like he was going along with it. I'm a big fan of Fran, but yelling or berating the assistant was borderline to me. (I actually thought he might have been screaming into the headset at first).

Same section!
I'm the one that has to get up for all the idiots jumping rows near the gate... all the time... pisses me off. I should just sit 4 seats in from the end I Got on the G line
