Good Grief

What stage of grief are you all in? I’m in the having fun with it stage. Because, at the end of the day, my kids are healthy and there are bigger problems in the world.
Same...my family is healthy, got the vaccine, on vacation in the Caribbean after a year of doing nothing. All in all I can’t complain.

Now, did I just order my fifth drink since the Kadary news broke? Possibly.

I think everyone knew this day was coming, how different people are handling this is actually fairly interesting. We are talking about a kid leaving that if he is as good as the experts say, is only going to play 1 year anyways. It sucks but not the end of the world. Like you said, there are many more problems in the world.

Save the little umbrellas.

I'm in the same boat, including the kids part. Just kind of laughing it all off and waiting to see what happens when the dust settles. TBH, I'd probably be like Lloyd Christmas above if this was happening 10 years ago and I was more invested in every little thing that was going on with the program.

We're all doing great knowing we just secured another Sweet 16 ceiling that HCJAB is content with. Getting to the sweet 16 is the recipe to keep your job and fend off the pitchforks I guess .

I'm sitting by my pool enjoying a cold few with family in 90 degrees and sunshine. Life is good.

Kadary had a ton of potential but someone else will come along.

I've been in the Acceptance stage for the last several years. JB is who JB is. Nothing is really going to change until there's a new head coach with a new philosophy.

And don't try to suggest Hop, Autry or GMac as the next head coach. Program needs to be blown up and restarted from scratch. The Dome and Melo Center are a great starting foundation. Give those tools to a dynamic young coach and surround him with great resources and watch this program take off again.

Ok ok, I’ll do it. Jeez, you don’t have to be so obvious.

You were always my first choice
Seriously, I can do it. I can relate to the kids, because I am VERY immature. And, I can relate to the parents, because I have kids in high school and college AND I have gray hair!!! I know how to coach offense, I mean I can roll a ball out there with the best of them. And, I can coach defense. I would get blue painter’s tape and mark off the 5 zones. And tell the kids to stay in their zones. Then at halftime, I would do it to the other side of the court. My son, of course, would start at point guard and play 38 minutes. I got this.
