Good luck to Alec Lemon today

Good luck with your surgery Alec. You are a great guy who deserves the best.

Yes hope for a quick recovery.

The kid is a warrior...he played hurt most of the season.

Alec went for 68 rec, 834 yds and 6 tds this year hurt. After surgery, hopefully he can begin knocking on some SU records next year.

He knocked on some records this year...

IMO Alec has been a little under appreciated by some fans. He's not a game breaking deep threat but possesses about every other intangible you would want in a WR. Hope he coems back healthy for next year as he will be the core of our WR corps.

good luck Alec - hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery

In Alec's three years at Syracuse he has 1526 yards on 129 receptions with 11 TD's.

Wishing Alec the best of luck for a speedy & healthy recovery.

Hang in there Sean & Ellen your kid is one tough cookie.

best wishes Alec on a speedy recovery

under worst case

how significant- he still can redshirt.

significant as in it is not arthroscopic surgery. they are opening his shoulder up to repair some torn labrum cartilage but also reattach a bone that broke away.

He undergoes some significant shoulder surgery today. Here's hoping for the best for him.

The kid has been the best WR here in a long time.

I think Alec Lemon is a great WR and I appreciate the he will likely walk out of here with the SU record for receptions in a career (barring a poor Senior season), but I think we're forgetting Mike Williams pretty quickly. He was the most talented WR that we've had at SU in recent history. Too bad he couldn't keep himself out of trouble off the field. We could have used him the past couple of years.

If you don't count the quitter that cheated on his finals, I agree.

No doubt Williams was/is a great WR. It's why he has started in the NFL since day 1.

When was he hurt? How many of those 68 receptions were caught when he was injured?

You have to be available to play.

Without a doubt. I think we can all agree that Williams was the most talented/skilled WR we have had in a long time, but with him being the Billy Edelin of the football program, you just never knew what you were going to get and when and you couldn't count on him. So taking that into account, Lemon probably is the best in awhile. I think he is under appreciated because people long for that 6'3 kid or the kid with 4.3 speed of which Lemon is neither. But he's not small and he's not slow and is so consistent and dependable that it puts him among the best. If he comes back 100% whether it is this fall or next, I would expect him to be 1st team all BE and an NFL draft pick.

It's been a progressive thing over the past couple years.
