Got to Love Bobby Knight...

"When you watch Kentucky play on CBS this weekend, Calipari's vacated titles and shady recruiting practices will be glossed over. That's a far more egregious journalistic sin."

Yup.

Where their is already talent on the floor for a state school like UK there is no rules.
Got to catch Cal in the act apparently.

Great article, speaking truth to power. ESPN is the perfect example of Marshal MaCluen's
"The media becomes the message".

"I must be the only one who finds this amusing and doesn't think Knight's juvenile behavior besmirches ESPN's credibility. This is mainly because I long ago stopped harboring delusions about ESPN's credibility. "

Um, no.

Chris Chase, know your are certainly not alone

My fantasy is that if Kentucky were to make it to the championship game, Jimmy Dykes and Bob Knight would be the co-color men! Can't imagine how much of a show that would be to hear Dykes gush over UK/Calamri and then have Knight tell him he's FOS, call out the Cats as a corrupt program and then deck Dykes with a chair!

Well, there's only so much air time. How can sports journalists be expected to do anything other than gloss over their examination of Kentucky when there is so much more work to do with Syracuse's serial abuse of NCAA rules and regulations?

It will be interesting to see the ESPN juggernaut having to embrace Kentucky if they win it this year. Particularly if the hounds snapping at Kentucky's heels eventually catch up with them.

Yeah. 1986 - 1987 Season. I read the part about us but stopped reading where Smart goes up for that jumper with 3 seconds left.

As many wonderful seasons we've had, culminating with the '03 championship, that shot still haunts me to this day.

If a viewer watches Knight and thinks he's presenting an unbiased opinion, that's their own fault. They're probably the same people who watch Fox News or MSNBC and think they're getting a fair take on the news.

If people watch any broadcast news and think they are getting a fair take they are fooling themselves.
