Every game means something starting labor day weekend! This iowa/MSU game tonight is a play in game! So much Juice. There is zero desperation in college hoops until mid major end of season conference championships. As for the major conferences in hoops, go over .500 in the league and play a decent out of conference and you have a shot at the tourney. Over 5 months of play, there is ZERO juice.

Between 7-10 depending upon the year. The rest are just going through the motions. They don't know it, of course. But they are.

Well I'd say every game matters to every team in CFB. Not every team is expecting to win a title. We'd go nuts if we won 8-9 games next year.

CBB is a bunch of nonsense followed by a nonsensical tournament to decide its champion.

Importance of individual regular season games by sport IMO:

College Football
NFL
College Basketball
NASCAR
NHL
NBA
MLB

I did not include college baseball/hockey and just stuck to the so called TV sports. MLB has over 150 games, that is mind-boggling and diminishes each contest to nothing more than old guys writing stats in a book. I don't follow the NBA but I assume it's sort of like hockey, games actually start to mean something in Feb, not before and a single loss isn't devastating by any means. Football has without a doubt, the most meaningful regular season of any sport and it's also the reason why Football always has been/always will be my favorite spectator sport.
