He's showing he can score around the basket... feed the big fella... everything has been too perimeter orientated

You mean like feed the post? With a bounce pass? That's never been in our playbook. We are the "dribble drive loop it over the shoulder" entry pass team.

That stuff is getting really predictable too. GTown got their hands on and almost stole some of those.

Fab has more to learn about posting & scoring under the basket. He doesn't protect the ball enough when he goes up, & he still seems awkward in those situations.

They should work on it in practice a bit & when the team is winning by more than double digits.

Hopefully JB shows Fab some tape of the times he got sealed off tonight and tells him to go do that on the offensive end.

Unfortunately, I think every "offensive set" we have starts with a high ball screen from Fab (with the roll).

The team has roughly a month to get these issues ironed out. Less fast breaking in tight games, & stay home to grab defensive rebounds. Second chances for the opposition is like giving them an extra 10 points per game they would not normally have. How many times are we getting a fast break opp. on missed shots when the players leak out? I would be surprised if it's as high as 20 percent of the time, which would mean, you have opponents grabbing a large margin of those rebounds. If we play the numbers, it doesn't pay to leak out in very tight games.

We should be fast breaking mainly on steals, & any other time when we have the game firmly in hand. Otherwise, we should be manning the rebounds.

This team is superior in talent to most of our opponents, so it should be no problem to at least closely match another team's rebounding numbers. Last night, if the guards stay home on the defensive boards, we beat G'town by 10 to 15 points.

Being able to enter it into the post is a lost art. Kids these days (excuse me while I adjust my cane and hitch up my suspenders) don't know how to pass fake and make a good entry pass or use the dribble to change the angle. I'm excited to see MCW more partly because I firmly believe he's a guy who will know how to enter the ball into the post and out the post player in a good position to score or make a move.

Feed him like we used to with Onuaku, and sometimes Rick

Rick was even better than Arinze in terms of making a bucket down in the low post 1-on-1. He had really nice touch, sealed off well, and was very efficient down there.
