It gives the TV partner ammunition to charge more for advertising rates for those games. And when they have to negotiate the next deal many years down the line, they will of course go off the ratings history of all of these Final 4 and championship games.  Ratings always matter! Which is why the committee will keep Clemson #1 overall even though they probably don't deserve to be #1 overall (probably should be #2 or #3) as it keeps ND looking stronger and then they can justify having ND in the Final 4 as their only loss was by 2 pts with a back-up QB at the #1 team overall!
