If you know the game,then last yr you knew Dion was for real. His talent was basically slapping you in the face if you know hot ID it.

Please, tell us - outside of our season-ending loss, when did Dion play well as a freshman?

I don't care if he was "for real" or "had potential" or was the most talented player on the roster. He did not play well last season. Never was there a Syracuse win that we would've lost without Dion on the team.

Someone thought enough of David Johnson to spend a first-round draft pick on him. And no one who saw him play would call him an average athlete.

I was talking about Dion not DJ. They have absolutely nothing in common.

funny how a lot of people jumped on the dion bandwagon where were you all last year? he had like 3 fans last season from this board.

Pat yourself on the back, give yourself a cookie, and then recognize that it was quite possible that Dion could have been a misfit transfer, and that it was somewhat reasonable that people might have been skeptical about his future at SU. He is doing a good job so far of putting those fears to rest and showing he is a team player. He's exciting to watch and very talented. Lets hope he keeps it up so you can treat yourself to a fudge sundae come march.

I think the sky is the limit on Dion's potential, and JB is fortunate to have so many players this season to shuffle around. It's a bit easier to like a guy like Triche and root for him, but I think further into this season Dion could be too explosive to not get more playing time. The thing that I wonder about with Dion, is how long the unselfishness and hard work on defense will last. I hope it is all season, but one always has to wonder if he were to start if some of those type of traits may wither at least slightly. His radio interview after the Manhattan game made me wonder if he was just trying to say what he knew people wanted to hear, and it not being natural and from the heart. Again, I was just wondering, I am always skeptical. Time will tell, I am very excited at the loaded team we have this season!

if your buying id rather have a protein bar . when it comes to scouting players im very good at it, you can call it arrogance but i call it confidence.

Did the potential for DW to become a head case inform your scouting report? I'm no psychologist. If you have that much insight into his emotional state, hats off.

Dont be too hard on yourself, though. Talent evaluation, in any sport or corporate environment, is a rare gift. Few of us have it and it cant be taught - function of superior breeding.
