Gottlieb is just going out of his way now

DG is critical of SU even when they win and even when they play well. Any game we don't play well (like last night) even if we win he is going to be very critical. Kansas has one pro, that's it. SU has at least one (Fab) maybe 2. I'm not worried about KU or UK...I'm confident we beat them. I'm more worried about lesser teams that want to slow the game to a crawl and zone us which always gives us trouble.

Who gives a crap? If we keep winning, that will speak for itself. Believe it or not, not every person out there is a Syracuse fan. Does he partake in anti-cuse banter? Sure. Does the fact some of you get all flustered about it make him continue to do it? Definitely.

Way to shut him up-- don't flame out on the second weekend.
 
Withey and Robinson are a very good combination of big men and work well together. Withey can alter a lot of shots around the basket and his free throw shooting for a 7 footer is very good.

We are a better team than them, but i would not like to see them in our bracket

Exactly. Who cares what he says? Seeing thread after thread pop up every day is like an annoying co-worker stopping by your desk every day to tell you all about his hemorrhoids.

What he said was depth wins conferences, but superstars win championships. Said Kansas's best player was better than ours and our front court wouldn't be able to stop them.

AS bad as K State is, and they are awful this year, they made a run at Kansas at had them tied in 2nd half. There was nothing impressive about Kansas last night.
 
Who was our superstar in '87? Yes, we had a bunch of guys on that team that eventually had very nice NBA careers, but I don't think any of them had that locked in yet that season.

You know what? Forget that I even mention this. Why the hell are we phantom-debating Gottlieb about a 26-1 team??? Imo, if a team can win this many games with our SOS and our W/L vs top 25/50/100 teams, we can damn sure win a NC. Saying you "need" this and that to win is ridiculous.
 
I will say this, the only time I want to see Kansas in the tournament is in a matchup in the finals.

Kansas 2012 is 2003 redux. They had two pros on that team as well. Collison was a machine a in my opinion a better basketball player than Robertson. This is Robertson's first big year and he has bad games.

Understand that K-State/KU is a rivalry bigger than SU/Georgetown. Doesn't matter much what each team brings to the court most years.

Maybe he isn't normally a turnover machine, but last night, he turned it over 3 times in the last 2:00, 2x on traveling calls. There were also a few signs in the crowd about his turnovers. One called him "Turnover Taylor" and another said "Taylor, throw ME the ball".

It is more accurate to say Syracuse basketball fans are more like Marilyn Munster who was a blond beauty whose family constantly referred to as "the Ugly Duckling" of the family. It would be nice to have someone say something nice about us once in a while.
 
Well to be fair, he did just say that the Kansas @ Kansas State game was a home game for Kansas because of their record there... lol
 
Don't take any of that personally, is my advice. Honestly, Doug is a simple dweeb with all sorts of crazy agenda's. The fact is, like Digger, he is an emotional wreck and that affects his takes.

For example, Crum @ UL used to absolutely own Digger's ass at the sport of coaching basketball. He said some crushing stuff, lol, and Digger has never got over it. He detests UL with every fiber of his being. That's not even a guess, either. He relishes disgust when talking about our poor boys, lol.

Doug meanwhile, fares terribly when he maintains his stupid outside-the-envelope dissing of power programs not in the Big 12.

Ignore that troll. You don;t want to know why he thinks as he does, trust me. The answer would surprise you with its lameness.
 
You know Senore2006 wouldn't mind playing UL some more once we hit the ACC . Heck you guys probably even learned a thing or two from Cuse's 2-3 over the years.

You guys always have classy fans. Every year win or lose they stop by to tell you what you do good and bad. Syracuse has turned into the same thing. We used to have a closet policy now we just say whatever we like no matter how crazy it is hoping to get the most out of our program and expell all weaknesses.
