Gottleib said the results don't justify our invite to the tournament. Took Bennett to task for not setting up any zone play at the end, and they all agreed it was a total collapse on the part of UVA...

Gottlieb stole credit cards and couldn't crack 50% from the FT line....meaning, he's a scrubby loser who makes bad decisions. Always has been, always will be.

Just because we forced it doesn't make it anything other than a total collapse by UVA. It certainly was, but we still had to take advantage, and we did.

Cause wins, and keeps winning. Who cares what the experts say? I don't understand why you guys take what they have to say as a personal affront to your existence.

it. I'll take another two collapses in a row. If we win...in 5 years there wont be an asterisk for other teams "collapsing"

That is why he is an"expert" and is not coaching. Anyone can mouth off but few can back it up on the hardwood.

Look teams like Virginia don't just "collapse." An incredibly talented and motivated team with hearts and balls of steel have to make them collapse. 68-1 when up 10 at the half. It speaks for itself.

Nevermind Virginia "collapsing"...Malachi's shot making for a stretch there was off the charts. Their "collapse" on offense doesn't matter if Malachi doesn't catch fire at the same time. Obviously we all knew he was capable of getting hot like that out of nowhere, and boy was it timely tonight!

He obviously doesn't understand the purpose of the at large bids. They are to pick the best teams that did not receive an automatic bid. They are not to reward teams that had what appears to be successful seasons but did not win the auto bid. Of course the results justify our bid.

The fact that Georgia Tech, Clemson and Va Tech could have won far more games than the SEC and maybe the Pac 12 - and by anyone's criteria, that is true - says the Orange got the respect the conference deserved as a whole by the committee.

This season was always going to challenge the chalk - and Gottfeeb and chalk are best friends.

What does a guy with a prolapsed colon know about collapse you ask? Well perhaps Dougie can clue us in because his prolapsed colon was the result of having his cranium way to far up his... well, you know.

He's such a classy guy. The guy is on the bottom floor of life and he is still pressing the down button. SMH!

Except the opening segment of the ND game Barkley mentions that JB's teams are underachiever because of the zone. And he wonders how many more games could be in the W col if he switched out.
And JB in the presser unknowingly addressed Barkley point in saying with 6-7 guys you just can't do it all game long and that it would give the other team the chance to figure it out to the point of diminishing returns. Guys freaking brilliant

Chuck was so thrilled that JB went to the press that he couldn't say enough nice things about JB. His point was that coaches who only stick to Plan A and don't have a Plan B to go to cost themselves games they might otherwise have won. Now most on these boards know that JB adjusts his zone, like he did in the 2nd half, so for the most part that is his default Plan B. But the success of the trunk monkey press in this tourney has me hoping for better days ahead.

I can't wait to see it in action next year with a true shot blocker and the likes of Roberson, Lydon, Moyer, Howard, Richardson, and Battle scrambling and creating havoc.

Cheers,
Neil

Barkley knows less about college basketball than some of the dumbest posters on this board.
