These clowns just cant admit when theyre wrong.

@GottliebShow "Syracuse belonged in the field" based on result is just like UCLA last year - neither belonged in, won a game, got an easy 2nd gm- congrats

I'm sure he thinks Dayton deserved to be in the field. I love the fact that MTSU is now an easy game since we rolled them by 25 when before the game everyone was picking us to lose.

I've never been a believer in saying a team deserved to make it based on their results in the tourney. I know this seems strange, but I think the question isn't whether you are talented enough to win games in tournament. If it were, the field would look quite different. It should be based on whether or not you were successful enough during the regular season to earn the bid. This isn't to say we weren't. I just don't use our record in the tournament as justification. I'm sure others disagree with me and I'm equally sure they can make a good case for why.

Not crediting Doug nor taking away from our boys, but we were handed a golden egg by them beating MSU. They're a 15 seed who's biggest win before MSU was Belmont. It was a game we should have won by 15+.

No, youre right. Results don't justify the selection . We belonged in even if we lost to Dayton by 30.

Gottlieb is a jerkball
I think this is the tweet Jay Williams responded to. Mentioned in another thread.

Gottlieb's an idiot.

Totally agree, but these schmucks keep moving the goalposts. First it was we were going to lose to Dayton and MTSU, then it was we didn't lose because our competition wasn't that good.

If you're this salty now Douggie, what are you going to say if we win the next game?

We could get to the Championship game, lose, and Doug would say, "See? I told you they were no good"

So Wisconsin having 12 losses as a 7 seed was no biggie for Doug? By the look of things the committee had Syracuse in probably not even in the first 4 out.

That is exactly the point I was trying to make.

Doug would say that Wisconsin deserved the seed because they had a great road win against Syracuse. Then he would turn around and say Syracuse is no good when it comes to us getting a bid.

Gottlieb's true colors are on full display now. He doesn't like SU, and he's salty as sh-t, and refuses to admit that he's wrong. Which he is.

Remember what a stubborn, whiny, hater he is next time somebody posts a thread griping out Gottlieb's bias, and resist the urge to hit the reply button to refute that. It is unequivocally true.

You very rarely have anything positive to say. "It was a game we should have won" give me a break. We could have easily have been upset if we did not play our best game. How many upsets in this tournament? I rest my case.

It's not a game we should have won? We won the game, we looked good doing it which I've mentioned on 100 occasions, but "I very rarely have anything positive to say." No, you just choose to take something that has nothing to do with being positive or not positive and try to spin it the way you want to. Go keep looking for other posts troll.

Listen, I get the role of underdog is fun but it just wasn't simply the case, we did what we were supposed to do and did a great job of doing it. Fact remains it was a game we were supposed to win, if you don't know that or even want to believe it I really don't know what to tell you about the magical dream land you live in.

Dougie: So Cuse got lucky against another overrated double digit seed...they still shouldn't been invited.

I love him talking about Cuse...rather be talked about than ignored.

I'm not sure everyone shared your confidence "we were supposed to win". MSU was supposed to win. RPI means nothing when a team is playing well. This team making it to the Sweet 16 is a HUGE accomplishment. Saying the Orange was supposed to win seems to me like you are saying it was not a big accomplishment.

Regardless, making the Sweet 16 with this team is HUGE for the program. It puts us in the national conversation, helps the Orange brand, and helps with recruiting. If you are troll, suck it! If you are not troll, GO ORANGE!!!

if you get to the sweet 16 it almost always tough. the #1 beat a 16 and a 8/9. we beat a 15 and a 7 so we had it tougher than every #1.
the #2 seeds , one lost , one played a 15/10, one played a 7/15, and one played a 15/7 and lost, if its so easy then why did two #2 not get thru that

the #3 seeds played a 14/11 and won, one lost to a 14, one played a 14/11 and lost and one played a 14/11 and should have lot. thats 12 seeds and 5 of them should have lost to an easier bracket than ours.

the #4 played a 13 and lost, played a 13/12 and won. played a 13/5 and lost and played a 13/12 and won. strange the 2 that made it thru didnt have the bracket open up.
