Supposedly the FBI went undercover and that's how they were able to break open this assistant coach/sneakergate and that reminded me of a book I read this summer about Bobby Delaney who was an NBA ref for 24 seasons.
Before he became a ref, Delaney was a NJ State Trooper who went undercover and infiltrated the Jersey Mob and was part of a task force that was able to put away 30 or so Jersey thugs. It's a great easy read if you like basketball and Mob stories and the best part is that it's a true story.
