From TNIAAM, wherein Melo endorses Tyler Ennis as our new PG after watching him play:

Told that Ennis projects to be the starting point guard next year for the Orange, Anthony said:
"I hope so. We’re gonna see what [Syracuse coach Jim] Boeheim does. You know how Boeheim do sometimes."

I'm down with that.

Wait.. What?

How do we know what he do? Sometimes he do sometimes he don't, but we can always be sure he does what he doesn't.

Do I got that right?

Funny, people are reading this as a compliment. To me it reads a little back handed like "Ennis is awesome but watch out he could get Boeheimed and Cooney and MG will start over him."

That's how I interpreted it.

That's a good point.

Maybe he's thinking Dion, MCW, and Matty Gorman being tucked away on the bench. (MG, by the way, was in the thick of it with the large group of former SU players one section over from me in Atlanta. Grinning like a guy who's leading a charmed life.)

He'll teach him the famous Boehemian Pick and Roll. Then if he stays another year he add the Thumb and Forefinger Fling! (If ya nose what I mean.)

So what I'm taking from all this is that secretly Boeheim is either a pirate or a dwarf.

it wasn't a back handed compliment.

All I know is that we put on we jerseys just like they put on they jerseys

Well Dion never started so I think Melo maybe alluding to the fact that JB doesn't always start his top 5 players :noidea:

i took it to mean JB could be in the market for Knicks season tickets next year.

Yes...good point.

But on the other hand, who do what Boeheim do better than he do?
Even if he doesn't do what he do he still does do what he doesn't.
Sometimes people forget that.

My head just exploded.:bat:

I'm not talking about Matt Gorman. Mike Gbinije.

Sorry--the MG reference was a throwaway, and I generally don't use winks or emoticons generally to hammer the point home. MCW and Dion emerged as crucial guys on the team, eventually. Not so much with Matty G. Poorly executed joke on my part.

I don't think it is back handed at all. Not to Ennis. It means Melo likes Ennis and thinks he is talented. Melo is saying even if Ennis doesn't start, it doesn't mean Ennis isn't good.

It does come off as a little critical of JB and who he decides to start. JB does like experience. But I think Ennis starts from day 1. In any event the compliment will mean more to Ennis than the diss will hurt or affect JB.

he plays the mind games as well as anyone to get the most he can-so if thats what he wants -so be itSUball

guys, this is just Melo being Melo.

English and communication just aren't his strong points. Never have been, never will be - and he doesn't care. And why the hell should I? He is a few months older than I am and worth about $75,000,000.

There is no intent 1 way or the other. He probably has no clue that MCW even declared. He certainly has no idea what our backcourt situation is next year.

C'mon, he lives in NYC now, he is a benefactor to the program; he has to know at least a bit about the roster.
