Great job JB

did you watch the presser? What were your thoughts? Not much substance there (shocker) but at least the D.O. reporters got their James Southerland questions answered :)

He$& yeah! Did a great job. Nice to hear the applause when he stood up for what he believed in. Honestly that wasn't as bad as I thought.

I will never post again if a single poster tells me they believe boeheim when he just said he's never heard the tape. Lol

cuseregular, you need help. not the once a week type. A team working around the clock. I won't sleep tonight worrying about you.:bat:

I could have done without the statement about him feeling he owed for Bernie his support after 36 years of great work...not saying he was wrong for doing so, I just don't find it prudent to say anything positive about Bernie at this point. Other than that, good job by him.

I really want him to beat Knight. I just do.

I liked his response to the question about whether he's concerned about his job (Paraphrased): "I haven't worried about my job in 36 years...when I start worrying about my job it'll be time to become one of you guys".

I must be the only one but I thought JB did not do well- it was awkward and
He was too testy with a press and viewers who don't know him

wrong...Boeheim was perfect in that presser. His emotion showed that he is human, and that he is as frustrated with what is happening as any of the tools in the media are. I think it was classic jimmy...with a splash of class

Chat Room did not think he did well.

i thought it came off a bit awkward as well. waving that paper around like a cloak of immunity whenever he felt cornered.
i fully understand his reticence about talking about matters still under investigation but the way he chose his words and stuck to the script showed me that he knows he's in a minefield and can't be completely candid. he looked very uncomfortable.

Getting emotional in a situation like this i think is a GOOD thing. If he came out like a robot people wouldn't be able to connect with him. Its sociology at it's finest.

I thought he did well until just a few minutes before the end. The press was pushing the point on responsibility, and he got flustered and started rambling a little. Then he got back on track and wrapped it up. The point where he defended his statement about Bernie was odd, I didn't expect that. But it drew applause from the room, which surprised me. It sounded okay.

I think if you're not looking at this all like a schizophrenic then one isn't fairly analyzing it all. With each successive day I'm swinging emotionally all over the place with every new detail, revelation, interview, etc. Was real let down at his radio interview today because he said zero beyond basketball, vs. how saddened he is, etc. and everything else tonight which was the right combination of sympathy (at least as much as is possible with JB) and respectful toughness in his approach. Frankly wish he'd practice this more so in all his pressers when it's just the locals.

I'm 100% convinced on Davis and was at 95% on Lang. Now that's dropping after a fair take on the latest info which is to note some inconsistencies in Langs story tonight on CNN that I noted earlier (saying it happened "20,30,40x who can keep counting" vs. the 15-20x he said it happened in the original ESPN interview, which may simply be mental fatigue from all of this if the rest of his story pans out to authorities). So its a constant sway in both directions schizophrenic style which IMHO is the most appropriate way to look at this whole mess at this point. Staying too strongly to one side or another at this point is simply exercising mental rigidity.

But I'll take it into advisement your advice and call the psych gal tommorow just in case. :)
