With the closure of The Pour House over COVID, the Greater Boston Alumni Association has been working hard to strike a partnership with a new establishment to host our Orange watch parties. We've found it in Small Victories in South Boston, an alumni-owned and operated bar with a sister location in Eastie.

We're hosting two watch parties to start this year:
--GA Tech 9/7 @ 12:00 PM
--Holy Cross 9/28 @ 12:00 PM

I’ll be at both these games, but definitely would be interested in future events for some road games. Keep this thread active for Boston updates please!

Correct, the ownership team has opened a new location in Andrew Square, this will be the location of this year's watch parties.
 
Bumping this thread -- We are three weeks away from the Georgia Tech game which is our first watch party scheduled for the year. If you are in the area and looking to watch the Orange on a Saturday afternoon with a bunch of fellow fans, please come by!!
 
This Saturday marks the first 2024 Watch Party hosted by the Greater Boston Alumni Association and we would LOVE to see a lot of board members at the event to cheer on the Orange!!

Bumping this thread --

On Saturday we had an amazing get-together with Orange fans and alumni alike at Small Victories in South Boston, MA. We had a great turnout of over 30 people at the bar, which was an immense increase in participation from our previous location in East Boston. The establishments in East and South Boston are owned by the same alumni member, and we are so grateful to be establishing such a wonderful partnership with this great venue. We had a great time watching and cheering the Orange to victory. Of course, we are all very jealous of those that were in the Dome to watch Kyle throw all over the Georgia Tech defense, but let it be known that the Alumni Club of Greater Boston has Fran Brown and the Orange's backs.
 
Hey everyone— GeauxSU here to remind everyone that the next Greater Boston Alumni Association watch party is happening TOMORROW at noon in Andrew Square’s “Small Victories” bar. We are really excited to capitalize on the amazing showing that we had during our last alumni association watch party.

As mentioned in previous posts, we’ve partnered with an alumni owned bar to provide Syracuse fans and alumni in our area a fantastic space to cheer on the Orange.

Local Syracuse fans to Boston as well as alumni, please join us in supporting our Orange to win and a strong 3-1 start to the season.
 
Has anyone bought BC game tickets from the Syracuse athletic department's the road team allotment? I bought them in the summer and the tickets are not yet in the MyCuse/Ticketmaster account. I know they usually don't send them until very late. I called and emailed the Dome box office who handles these and they are closed today, Sunday. I thought I'd put a message here to see if others are in the same situation.

Check your email to see if there is a link sent directly from BC. I had the same issues and concerns with the NC State game and realized NC State sent me an email a day or two after purchasing the tickets directly through my Cuse account.

I did and received them some time ago.

Apologies, I forget what the exact process was.

I also received a partial refund from the Dome box office as the tix were cheaper than they’d assumed.

As we prepare for the Boston College game I wanted to make a couple of announcements.

The Greater Boston Alumni Association is proud to announce that we have partnered with Cityside Tavern ahead of this game. We are looking forward to welcoming our army of traveling Syracuse fans to our city and hope that you will join us ahead of the game.

We are anticipating that the bar will be open around 9 AM, I will post an update ahead of time.

If you are traveling and have general questions about the area, the city or activities, please do not hesitate to message me.

We were up for this weekends game in 247, what a win. Now let us beat Billy OB into submission.

We tried like heck to secure several parking passes for tailgating, but the powers that be in Chestnut Hill spurned us. Sad!!

If you're in the Greater Boston area and looking for a place to watch the game--

Small Victories is the designated watch bar in town tomorrow night. Be there!!
 
Thank you everyone that attended 2024's final football watch party this past Friday night!! It was great to have such a nice crowd show up-- we had about 30 people come to Small Victories Bar in South Boston!!

We WILL be hosting a get together BEFORE and AFTER the Boston College basketball game.
