Long time fan and lurker but looking for some help. With the tourney here today, another year of not being in it, and all the new coach swirl, I was trying to think of the greatest Syracuse games through the years by round. A coping mechanism for Syracuse reality. There are so many and I think I am forgetting some. Yes I am living in the past. What are some of the best Syracuse games, by NCAA round, that I am forgetting? Here are mine...

64 - Iona 1996 1998 or BYU 2004
32 - Oklahoma St. 2003
16 - (UGA 1996-Add), (Indiana 2016-Add), Auburn 2003 or Gonzaga 2016
8 - (UVA 2016-Add), (Kansas 1998-Add),(Kansas St. 1975-Add),North Carolina 1987
4 - Texas 2003 or Mississippi St. 1996
2 - Kansas 2003

I would include 2016 elite 8 game vs Virginia. But, great list! So many great memories! Ill never forget Al Maguire dancing with SU players after they beat Kansas in 96.

Definitely agree on Georgia! I'm glad the 96 game vs Miss St was listed. They had a lot of height on that team and we really picked them apart.

That Kansas team was loaded. Surprised they never made a Final Four.

2013 Sweet 16 vs Indiana - Great win vs a good Indiana team coached by Tom Crean. Our zone had them flustered from the start.

Heartbreaker but the 1995 loss to Arkansas was a great game. I believe was round of 32. Arkansas was defending national champs and we had them until the timeout fiasco

Georgia was 1996 too. That was Friday night, Kansas was Sunday afternoon. And my liver still brings that long weekend up from time to time.

Second round against MSU in 2018 was a great win. Essentially a road game in Detroit and we had a walk on play important minutes in the 2nd half.

How about Syracuse vs North Carolina in 1975 sweet 16

As I recall, we were such an underdog that the pundits started taking about how the FF should be reseeded. They felt that Kentucky/UMass should have been the championship game.
