Yes, it is Syracuse weather in St Louis today. Snowing and 36 degrees!

Thank goodness we did our sightseeing yesterday. Today we're going out to lunch at Broadway Oyster Bar with Obie9 and Headmaster (who fortunately have a car here -- the one they drove from Syracuse).

For a school that has a reputation for traveling well, our fan turnout here is a bit disappointing. Aside from Weber State and Pitt, we seem to have the smallest contingent of the eight schools. Dayton, Xavier, Wisconsin and Middle Tennessee fans are everywhere. Given the human predilection to root for the under-dog, I suspect most of the Wisconsin and Xavier fans in the arena tonight will be rooting for Middle Tennessee.

Based on how they played Friday, Middle Tennessee might be the best 15 seed in history. It will be a very though game today.

I believe some folks attribute that to a thing called "driving distance."

We dominate the entire east coast. Other than that - not so much.

It was a tough drive but worth it, at least until we have to drive home tonight after a late game... Makes it tough to get back on Monday. So wish we were an early game but in the long run as long as we win ( which we are planing on) the drive will be o.k.

And we can start figuring out how we are going to pull off next weekend. 1- how we convince Obie9 boss he needs Friday off. 2- who's got the dogs. 3-tickets, hotel, and
4- and most importantly, pulling off a 10 and 0 road trip win for us this season.

First things first- LGO!!!!

Took this pulling in to the hotel last night. Just took note of the temp, 44 degrees. We got this!

Just an FYI CT/RI/MA and New England are expecting snow tomorrow. 3-6 inches so be prepared flying home.

Seems like all the SU administration is at the women's game. Chancellor, his wife, others i only know their face, Jason Poles, Gross, etc. Even Mr Metro Mattress is here and he always follows the men's team post season.

Edit: Rob Murphy is here too. Don't get that one.

Mark Coyle, John Cunningham and Dave Wishert seem to be the school's only non-basketball staff people here in St Louis. Very few of the usual fans are here.

I wonder if Julie is in St. Louis or in Albany with the JD girls team. Unfortunately they just lost to Staten Island Academy. They had a chance but couldn't make a three to tie.

I'm sure she's at Jamie's game. Tough loss for JD. Up 15 in 3rd then Staten Island went on a 25-5 run.

I turned it on at halftime of the Cuse vs UAlbany women's game since the Nova vs Iowa game was a blowout. I think JD was still up six at that point and the one freshman on SIA got real hot and had eight quick point. Hopefully Julie is there because I am sure that Jamie and the other girls need some motherly love at this time.

Gross is still around?

Makes sense that turnout is low. 90% of the fan base figured we weren't even going to get in so imagine not many people did the work/family adjustments ahead of time. If we ended up in the east, we could have lots of last minute planning. Stl is a different deal, though, unfortunately. Hopefully we get a chance to see it correct itself next week!

Yep. Special Asst. to the Chancellor I think.

I have a lot of friends here who went to Wisconsin and most of them are skipping the first game. Maybe some of their fellow alumni will do the same.

Oh, THAT's who that was! He looked so familiar and yet I couldn't place him.

What is Darryl doing now?

Still at SU on special assignment. Rumor is he may have found an AD job at a small school.
