Agreed. God-given talent, Johnnie Morant and (pre-injury) Delone Carter come to mind as being a bit above Tucker (Mike Williams and Custis are also in the conversation), but no question as far as productivity is concerned.

NOOOOOO WAAAAYYYYY.

Not a chance its football not track and field Morant couldn't catch.

Carter was a HS star that came here ready from day 1 as a freshman but theres a reason he came here everyone else knew who he was and passed. (Tucker was clearly under the radar/late bloomer.)

Williams and Custis too rough around the edges big and athletic sure but this is about 'talent' and being damn good at football plain and simple. Hes by far the best skill player we'd had on offense since McNabb.

I don't think hes got a ton of things helping him out or stacking the deck in his favor for lack of a better term. We aren't O lineman U we don't have a good passing game the D knows we will run it every play this isn't Wisconsin where everyone looks good or even Michigan St where they always have a star RB every year prior to Walker. That needs to be factored in when you talk about 'talent.'

If Walker hadn't left Wake Forest the guy behind him at Michigan St is definitely having a monster year.

If SU didn't have Sean this year Adams isn't having a year like this not even close and I like Adams.

Please let the 44 go……….it’s been irrelevant forever and these kids really could care less about guys from over 50 years ago………time to move into the new millennium.

Sean Tucker is the most talented SU offensive player since McNabb. I thought about that carefully and I know he’s very young, but I don’t think that’s an overstatement.

Yes. I don’t want to hear anyone else.

That will certainly be true if it stays in the rafters

Btw, the only other answer I’ll accept is Q Spotwood for second place behind McNabb.

Williams was rough around the edges? He averaged 19.2 yards per catch as a freshman and caught 60 balls as a sophomore, both on bad Gerg teams. Then he caught more than 60 balls each of his first three years in the pros. The only thing that held him back was that he was a headcase. I don't know if he was more talented than Tucker, but he was great right away.

You couldn't be more wrong on Carter. The dude still ran for over 1000 yards and made it to the NFL after coming back from an injury similar to what ended Bo Jackson's career. He was supremely talented.

I agree with Custis and Morrant. There's more to talent than pure athleticism. I do wonder, however, what Custis may have been able to do had his position not been bounced around by different staffs and had he not had the injuries that only left him with one full year. Word was he was expected to start in 2017 before he got hurt in preseason.

Is Adams injured? Seems like RB2 is lutz.

The Copley kid! I live in the eastern burbs of Cleveland.
He did play in the NFL for 3 years, that's pretty good

I googled him to try to see what kind of surgery he had after his injury. I came across something that mentioned a Delone Carter being sworn into the Akron police department in 2018. That has to be ours, right?
