For the first time all year we broke some plays, Whether thats improved played or bad D we wont know for awhiile.

the first 2 games there were some holes but it was usually cut back lanes, yesterday there were holes in the interior of the line.

if we had some RB with a bit better balance/strength/ or speed we could have really seen some yards.. so many times they didnt get thru the hole in time or got tripped or arm tackled.

the backs did a better job of letting the hole develop and sliding down to it, but also the DEs were not collapsing the ends so fast that there was time to let the seem get created

I thought the oline pass blocking took another step backward. anything other then the quick drops ED had someone in has face all day

How much of the poor pass protection was due to CMU copying last week and blitzing Dungey like mad men? I felt like if there were no blitzes Dungey generally had a clean pocket. A big part of the problem is that Dungey doesn't have the spidey sense to side step or roll away from pressure like the great ones do. I was actually impressed that they had scheme to disrupt presure like the toss sweeps, slants draws, etc... didn't always work but the plays were there at least. It would be nice to see one RB screen but neither our QB, RB nor oline can seem to be able to execute one of those.

Thought the O Line struggled in pass protect early then really struggled when Heckel went out. But I thought they got progressively better throughout. Maybe cracking a couple of chunk runs impacted the aggressiveness of the CMU pass rush or maybe they just wore down.
