I feel terrible for the team because they're not put in a position where they can possibly win. The difference between this staff and Marrone's is so stark. We have by far the worst coaching staff in the ACC. It isn't even close.

Its funny, when i think back to the mid 2000's we had absolutely no talent to compete with the Big east teams as well as bad coaching. Thing is, we have talent here, our game planning is just that terrible. Our offense stinks and doesn't fit our personnel. Im so disgusted.

I had thought that Shafer deserved one more year, this game has proven me otherwise. We had a BYE week last week and this is what we put out on the field? Complete and utter embarrassment. Shafer needs to go, now.

this is well said. Which, of course, points to the fact that Shafer skated by on the wake of Marrone's foundations last year, to the tune of a bowl win, and this year as Marrone is further in the rearview things are falling apart.

We can't afford another year of GRob-like coaching performance. I'm all for giving coaches a long leash...unless they reveal themselves as incompetent. GRob was unmasked as incompetent by year 2 and they kept him around, to the detriment of the program. Syracuse shouldn't make the same mistake again.

Welsh not keeping contain on the cutback 15-20 yard run infuritated me. Felt like a big play at the time. But it's not just Welsh. It's every DE we have. No discipline - as is the case with the entire team.

Shafer was mis-quoted on his "hard nosed" comment. He was asked what the difference was between him and HOF BB coach Jim Boeheim. He said he didn't really know him that well but during the BB games he saw that JB was "hard nosed" and doing whatever he could to get the most out of his picks.
