I agree with JoeyZ, there was no interest by the locals to interact with us SU fans. Usually, when I’m at a visiting city, [I]someone [/I]strikes up a conversation - where you from?, first time at Duke?.  I see it all the time in Syracuse, when someone from Georgia Tech or Clemson shows up in school gear.  I see it in other college towns too. It was very strange. No one said anything mean, they just looked at us with curiousity.

A few notes from a current Duke student. The tents in K-ville are to get UNC tickets. The students that went through the process successfully (present at required check-ins) got their UNC tickets a week ago. I was told they leave the tents up to look good for ESPN on 3/3 for UNC

Note to Boeheim and Wildhack - the AWESOME basketball only team store across the plaza was built by Nike. It looks similar to a Nike store - top notch merch and displays, and the store is visually stunning.  Something to copy when the Dome is renovated.

Lastly, the student section “Dirt Sheet” (attached) is pretty lame.  Their “Key Dirt” is to chant NIT if they win. They note Paschal had 3 eye surgeries so they encourage a shout of “can you see us”. Seriously? That’s all you have?
