I have been very sick the past month and not on the forums at all. I'm not so superstitious that I think Coach Babers is the literal reincarnation of Ernie Davis, but I do think it's 100% appropriate that the first SU black football coach will be the one to bring Syracuse football back to its glory days.

It's not necessary for men's basketball because Jim Boeheim roomed with Dave Bing as undergraduates. Ergo, honorary black man!

Everything in life cannot be seen through the prism of race.

Coach Babers is our head coach and had a great track record and a plan and that's why he was hired.

What this has to do with Ernie Davis or Dave Bing being JBs roommate 100 years ago really has nothing to do with much.

Why does everything have to do with race? Especially when there's zero reason to bring it up. Crap like this is why it'll always be a topic. Dudes a great coach, if he was white he'd be out coach, he's not, he's still our coach without looking at his race.

I don't get the connection. What's race got to do with it? (Other than that SU has been a pioneer in giving black players opportunities).
Winner winner (vegan) chicken dinner!
