For Syracuse basketball to succeed in 2026 and beyond, it needs its own independent NIL pipeline that is separate from the $20 mil rev share and general collective. Football is always going to get fed first and ADBB plainly understands the big time college athletics landscape and the realignment consolidation game being played. Hoops program needs leadership to fund itself independently if the feel good basketball family atmosphere is to continue. Otherwise we will be left with whatever pittance the rev share and collective at large is willing to generously distribute to the hoop program. Hope G is up to the challenge and folks and businesses eager to support.

I’m just not sure why Gerry would get it and no one else would, like do the fickle donors actually think BH would’ve been a bad coach and thus not worth their donations? It’s insane. It’s not just Syracuse people. I work with a Kansas guy. Trust me he remembers him.

Granted not go NIL but bets your butts if we run into Kansas in Vegas again there’ll be some vibes.

Read the comments on the board from the people who are the strongest in favor of hiring him. A lot of their reasoning is sentimental because he's the guy who helped win a national championship.
