They were supposed to play WVU in Morgantown in 2012. Instead of doing that, they want to play Syracuse in Yankee Stadium (play the worst team instead of the best, play 30 miles from their campus instead of in hostile Morgantown).

The BE is trying really hard to get Boise State to join a year early and take the place of WVU for all conference games. But Rutgers refuses to do this, insisting that they should host Boise instead. That would require completely redoing the BE conference scheduling.

We wouldn't have to negotiate to leave after the 2013 season because the 27 months would be up. Just pay the $2 and go.

IF (and that's a big if) this does indeed happen,we'd better have an ironclad agreement in place with the Big East to leave after the 2012 season.

Assuming 2012 is our last season, the thought if kicking their ass in Yankee Stadium to close out the regular season actually has some appeal to it.

Bring in Boise and reshuffle the scheduling. Our home slate is a bit of a bore this year as it sits now. Send us to Boise, Boise to RU and switch RU's home game w/ us to the Dome.

Honestly if we were in RU's position in the BE, while the conference collapsed around us, I'd be p*ssed about traveling to Boise right away as well.
