The last few years when we were on the bubble, I REALLY wanted to get in.

I felt the zone could still confuse teams. I felt we had players that could get hot and carry us (Eli, Tyus/OB, Silent G). That our defense could keep us in games and we had a guy who could take over.

I don’t feel that way this year. We don’t have any semblance of size compared to even last year; our defense looks worse than ever; and despite the offense stats I don’t see a guy who could put up 30 in any given night (Buddy and AG are the closest).

Even last year with Eli and a healthy Sidibe I saw a path that we could upset a few teams in March.

it seems our best chance this year is a scenario where Kadary gets 6-7 steals and/or 2 of Joe/Buddy/AG get hot from 3. Even then we’d still probably get killed on the boards

We made it 2 years ago. Frank was suspended, Eli had a huge game, but we lost to Baylor. The year before that we made it to the S16.

Absolutely. I mean we saw this play out in 2018. Not the case this year, even if we somehow got some luck and snuck in.

We shut down Moses Wright and Tech twice last season including an absolute demolition in the first game in Atlanta. They basically have the same lineup this year (minus center James Banks). I don’t see why we can’t do it again. They don’t have much depth either. Carolina on the other hand... I really wish JB would give Jesse Edwards a chance to play some center and move Marek to PF for a bit. We need more length along the back line.

Literally everyone in the other thread told you you were wrong. We were an 8 seed in 2019. And we didn’t miss the tourney last season. There was no tourney!

It boils down to team upside.

the Andrew White team proved it had high upside and could beat good teams, at least at home.

What has this year's team proven? That it can blindside a fringe top 25 Virginia Tech team? And does anyone truly believe if Cuse played Tech again on a neutral floor tomorrow, that Cuse would win?
