Haven't been this excited for SU football...

I'm excited as well.

Can't get enough of Dino.

Just wish we had more stuff on video and in the paper about him, his decision to come to Syracuse and his assessment of our talent level, e.g. what does he think of Eric Dungey.

since McNabb's first game against North Carolina.
thats called the grobbycakes blackout syndrome.

everyone and their grandmother was doing the Fn jig when he was hired. excitement level for football was at its apex. i think all expected 8- 9 and maybe 10 wins in year 1. even the Pro-P people like myself were excited for a change. we all thought a return to the late 80s and 90s Syracuse football would be coming.

its ok to not remember your excitement or the grobbycakes years in genral, all here are dealing with it in their own way. personally, i never want to forget them, it will make any winning in the future all the better. sorta like the dave brown-kent graham-danny kannel years or the isiah NYK years.

Seems like we have similar sports affiliations. Yes, I definitely convinced myself GRob could get us to 8 or 9 wins. Dark times.

Have not been this excited since we trounced WVU in the Pinstripe bowl and then we got sucker punched in the gonads. Just talking from a fan perspective not what marrone should or should have not done.

Heading to ACC, team looked to be finally moving in right direction and then Lucy pulled the GD football away yet again.

COME ON DINO!!!!

Felt pretty good about SU football in 2012 (after first two games), until Marrone bolted.
But this is better.
Hope to see exciting additions to the 2016 class, excitement about Spring ball, and fast on the turf in the Fall.

I truly am excited also. Can't wait for opening kickoff! But I'm trying to keep my expectations in check - I'll be happy if he wins 16 games next year - on our 12 game schedule.

i might've kept my mouth shut because i might've wanted pasqualoni gone or something like that but i promise you that the feeling in my stomach was something between painful gas and epic squirts the second I heard "west coast offense"

this time around i'm all in, i do hereby decree

i was excited for mcnabb because my friend at the DO talked up mcnabb so much over beers but i don't remember it being commonly known that he was amazing before UNC. i think people are more excited now

I haven't been this excited since after the LSU game.
Before that, when we started out 3-0 in 2015
Before that, when Lester was going to awesomize the offense and the players were raving coming into camp.
Before that, when it looked like we landed a pretty good recruiting class in February.
Before that, when true frosh AJ Long was hitting true frosh Steve Ishmael fora couple TDs against Florida State.
Before that...

In other words, I am a hopeful excitement whore when it comes to Syracuse Football. This time, hoping the excitement pays the longer term dividends.

War Damn Otto.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I remember being VERY excited for McNabb.

Yeah if I remember correctly the decision to start McNabb over Keith Downing and Kevin Johnson wasn't made until the week prior to that game.

It wasn't publicly announced until the game. McNabb won the job in August.

classic.

anyway, there certainly was some tempered enthusiasm around the WCO, but after all we were going to be the Bronco's of the east and once we got that legacy recruit gronklebowski or something...we were going to take over the BMW!!! he would be our Shannon Sharpe!!!

at the time i dont think i knew the difference between a WCO and what the texas wackos were doing.

very quickly i figured it out, changed my avatar signature to 'Offensive Coordinator' and went all in on change based around that type of O.

there was a buzz for sure. maybe because i still knew guys on the hill, maybe because i naivly believed we were on the cusp of a National Championship, but just remember being told...better than graves, better than even mcpherson...and 4 years of it was headed my way.

I was more excited for McNabb's second game against North Carolina - he was a known commodity, we were a year older and stronger, ranked in the top ten and playing at home.

Then we came out flat.
