I think he learned from his Clemson "incident". Felt he made a conscious effort yesterday to find the sweet spot between enthusiasm and going all whack-a-doo. Maintained a Marrone poker face when appropriate, congratulated players - but didn't run onto the field to do so and got on the refs for blowing two PIs in a row - but did so clearly but without looking like an ass.

For sideline demeanor yesterday, I give him an A+. More importantly it showed growth.

the same ref missed both calls and he let him know it, but still got his point across.. how that ref missed both calls is pretty amazing.. he is going to look pretty bad on the film review..

I would really like to know if Shafer got involved in the D game planning this week. I would like to think he didn't have to and that CB gets all the credit. Would be better that way.
